2013 Edition of Nord(b)Est Award projects, started
Four projects will compete for the 2012-2013 edition of Nord(b)Est Award. Project teams will include students from Cimba and people from Small and medium companies willing to enter new markets in the International arena. For the first time a company from Slovenia and a company from Switzerland will be part of the contest. Here is a brief profile of the competing companies.
Reel srl
The company, which is located in Nanto (Vicenza) and belongs to the German group KSB, develops, manufactures and trades high-technology and high-quality drives, specifically conceived for automation and handling control.
Project theme: Search for new applications and new markets for Reel’s products
Students involved: Mattie Clark (USA), Thomas Cavanaugh (USA), Charlie Sirridge (USA)
Tomplast
The company has its Headquarters near Lubiana (Slovenia), and is specialized in the production of thermoplast components using injection technology.
Project theme: Sales development in European markets
Students involved: Nhi Nguyen (Vietnam), Grant Benbow (USA)
Geoplast SPA
The company is located in Grantorto (Padova) and is leader in the manufacturing of plastic products and systems for the building sector
Project theme: Expansion in the U.S. market of a product line
Students involved: Kevin Zakorchermny (USA), Peter Ferrari (USA), Aaron Alway (USA)
SV&A Engineering GmbH
SV&A Engineering GmbH is a limited liability company based in Basel, Switzerland. SV&A Engineering GmbH operated in two main sectors: strategic management consulting on the one hand, expanded engineering activities on the other hand.
Project theme: Design a marketing strategy
Student involved: Thomas Vomastic (USA)
The selection of the best project will be made in the middle of May 2013 by a jury of experts and the prize giving ceremony will be held on Friday, May 24 at the Fornace dell’ Innovazione of Asolo.
